Two Senza Restaurant - Red Bank Fine Italian Cuisine for 10+ YearsI recently had dinner at 2 Senza and it was a great pleasure to re-connect with owner Jill Green. Jill and I have been friends since the restaurant opened and it was great to see her actively involved with her Red Bank Italian Restaurant that was a pioneer in fresh Italian cuisine. Some of the faces have changed but the food quality and fair pricing which had been a hallmark of the project is still in tact. 2 Senza is located in the hip "Galleria" building at the corners of Bridge and Front Streets in Red Bank. The restaurant is BYOB "officially" but there is a wine store adjacent to the restaurant so you can pick from a nice but small selection of inexpensive wines and carry it in the door. The restaurant is owned by Jill Green; an active member of the community and local charitable events. The atmosphere is casual but chic with the original brick facade of the Galleria prominently playing to the restaurant's decor. The moderately priced food at 2 Senza is always very good even though chefs have changed over the past 10+ years in business. The restaurant is a regular destination for wine and food lovers; often you will see bottles of wine that exceed $100 carried into the restaurant from local wine collectors. On my last visit I ordered the "Penne Norcina" which is a rigatoni pasta dish with sausage chunks and a meat sauce. The pasta was amazing and the portion enough to make the meal. I paired the pasta dish with a 2001 Brunello di Montalcino from Casanova di Neri; a match made in heaven. If you have not revisited 2 Senza recently, it is well worth your time to plan your next dinner there and enjoy their great consistent Italian dishes. Service is always attentive and friendly and the open kitchen creates a unique charm not found in any other Red Bank Italian Restaurant.
