2002 Kobalt Cabernet Sauvignon

My friend Joe Monte turned me on to this wine on Super Bowl Sunday. Lately I have been finding so many great wines from the 2002 California vintage. Without carefully checking my notes it would seem that the 2002 vintage is considerably more fruit forward and richer than the 2001 vintage. Could the 2002 vintage actually be much better than the touted 2001 vintage? I think it well make be the case!

I don't know too much about this wine except that it was fantastic. I would rate the wine 94/100 points and worthy of trying yourself. If you want to learn more about this wine, go to their website at: www.kobaltwines.com. I'm ordering a case for my cellar.

2001 Kobalt Cabernet

Today is December 23, 2006 and my friend Joe Monte walks in with the 2001 Kobalt. I create a cheese platter and we attack the 2001 Kobalt Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is amazing; with Colgin fruit qualities and wonderful structure I'm blown away with the quality of this wine. This wine is a 96/100+ point wine and should be in everyone's cellar. I suggest that you search out this wine and purchase the 2001 Kobalt Cabernet ASAP!!
