Bill 1701 - Is Mediocrity The New Standard in New Jersey Education?

This page and subsequent links are a work in progress since the fact pertaining to Bill 1701 and the effects on our public schools are streaming in from both sides of the aisle.

I am in the process of reading one of the greatest books ever written; "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. In this fictional book, the author lays out her viewpoint of human interactions; politics, relationships, business and human need.

"My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute." —Ayn Rand

The book is very disturbing for people who enjoy freedom and personal achievements. It may be the greatest book I have ever read.

Bill 1701, is a scary parallel to the fictional political bills introduced in the story line of her book, which are for "the good of the people". The author asks and I second the question; "Who are the people?". The book makes many points, but one is clear. If we don't think. If we don't fight for what is right. All our freedoms and achievements will be for nothing.

This is NOT a trivial matter. To get your primer on the effects of Bill 1701, start by reading this piece:  Click here.

If you would like to be part of the movement to amend this bill, please contact Kimberly Newsome at kimberlynewsome2001@yahoo.com. A letter writing campaign is scheduled for October 7th. If you can help, please contact Kimberly immediately.
