Google has begun to implement Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to replace Universal Analytics (UA) which has been the standard since 2013. It’s imperative for the automotive industry to prepare for this precipitous change in measurement practices.
Join the Automotive Standards Council for GA4 for hands on training to gain an understanding of what’s changing and how set up your dealership’s Analytics for success.
Brian Pasch is a recognized leader in automotive education and training. For the past 10 years, he has offered dealers the most comprehensive Google Universal Analytics training customized for the automotive industry. Since Universal Analytics is set to be replaced by GA4 in July 2023, all members of the automotive community need to prepare now before it’s too late.
To best support all the interests of the automotive community, Brian Pasch is forming the Automotive Standards Council for GA4. The council will be composed of automotive dealers, vendors, and manufacturers who are involved in online analytics and passionate about creating better interoperability standards. The automotive industry lacks any true standards for Universal Analytics and we should not repeat this error.
The goal of the council will be to guide the education programs created by Brian Pasch Enterprises (BPE) and associated analytics workbooks that can help all parties create a smooth transition to GA4. The council will also publish online standards, best practices, and training materials to support GA4. The council will also be a consolidated source to send requests to Google regarding needed changes to GA to support retail reporting.
Brian Pasch will also be spearheading a new GA4 Certification for automotive websites, digital retailing tools, messaging platforms, or any products that engage with consumers on a dealer’s website. The GA4 Automotive Certification logo will indicate to dealers that the product is providing consumer engagement signals and conversions into the new GA4 framework.
The initial BPE live training workshops for GA4 will be offered in the Summer of 2022 and a much larger training series will be included in the Modern Retailing Conference (MRC) in November in Palm Beach. BPE will also plan virtual training events once the curriculum is finalized after executing successful live training events. Dealers, vendors, and OEM leaders who would like to attend the training programs should register their interest online using this form.
Industry professionals who would like to be considered for the Automotive Standards Council for GA4 should submit their application using this form. If approved, only one person per company can be on the council. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of Universal Analytics and should be responsible for analytics measurement or programming within the organization or dealership. Members will need to participate in two one-hour Zoom calls per month, as we accelerate learning and share knowledge to develop the first draft of industry standards and build training materials.
